How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Redmi 12 4G. The model number is also shown there. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
The Redmi 12 was sold in 4G and 5G versions, which are different phones. Make sure your phone shows Redmi 12 and not Redmi 12 5G.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off.
- Push a SIM eject pin into the small hole beside the tray until the tray pops out.
- Remove the old tray and place your SIM and microSD cards in the new one, with the gold contacts facing down.
- Slide the tray back in fully, power on and check that the cards are detected.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
