What this part is
The loudspeaker in the Xiaomi Redmi 6A sits at the bottom of the phone and plays ringtones, alarms, media and speakerphone calls. Drops, water and dust in the grille can damage it, so sound becomes quiet, distorted or stops.
This is not the earpiece you hold to your ear on calls. Before replacing it, clean the grille gently and check the volume and Do Not Disturb settings. If sound is still poor, the loudspeaker needs replacing.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Redmi 6A. The model number is also shown there. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
The Redmi 6A has one rear camera. The Redmi 6 has two, and both use this loudspeaker.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off.
- Remove the SIM tray, then release the back cover carefully with a thin pick, warming the edges first if it is glued.
- Remove the screws and inner cover at the bottom, then disconnect the battery.
- Lift out the old loudspeaker from the Redmi 6A and fit the new one so it sits flat and makes contact.
- Refit the cover and screws, then reconnect the battery.
- Test ringtones, media and speakerphone, then close the phone.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
