The SIM card tray on the Xiaomi Redmi 7 slides into the side of the phone and holds your cards in place against the reader contacts. A bent or cracked tray can stop the phone reading the SIM, and a missing tray leaves the slot open to dust and moisture.

Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Redmi 7. Tap All specs for the full model name and model number (M1810F6LG). Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.

How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off.
- Push a SIM eject pin into the small hole beside the slot to release the old tray, if it is still fitted.
- Place your SIM card (and memory card, if used) in the new tray, gold contacts facing down.
- Slide the tray in straight and level until it sits flush with the frame.
- Power on and check the phone detects the SIM and signal.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
