The rear camera lens cover on the Xiaomi Redmi 8A is a thin protective glass over the camera modules. It does not affect focus itself, but a crack, deep scratch or missing piece lets in dust and light, which causes blurry, hazy or flared photos.

- Lift out the old glass carefully, taking care not to scratch the camera modules.
