What this part is
The charging port on the Xiaomi Redmi A2 is mounted on a small board at the bottom of the phone, linked to the main board by a flex cable. Daily plugging in, pocket fluff and moisture wear the port, which causes loose, slow or intermittent charging.
Before replacing it, check the cable and charger, and gently clear any lint from the port with a wooden toothpick. If charging is still unreliable, a new board is the usual fix. The board includes its charging IC.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Redmi A2. Tap All specs for the full model name and model number. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.

Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the edges of the back cover and lift it off carefully with a thin pick.
- Remove the screws and the lower cover, then disconnect the battery.
- Disconnect the board flex and any antenna cables, then lift the old board out.
- Fit the new board, reconnect the flex and cables, and reconnect the battery.
- Test charging and USB data before refitting the cover and new back adhesive.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Redmi A2?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Redmi A2. It does not fit the Redmi A2+, Redmi A1. Compare your old board with the photos before fitting.
Does it fit the Redmi A1 or A2+?
This board is listed for the Redmi A2 only. The A1 and A2+ are close relatives, so compare your old board with the photos before ordering.
Will it fix a phone that will not charge at all?
Only if the charging port is the cause. Try a known good cable and charger first. If the phone still does not charge with a new board, the battery or main board may be faulty.
Is it made by Xiaomi?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality charging port board made to fit the Xiaomi Redmi A2, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The Redmi A2 back cover has to be heated and lifted, and the battery must be disconnected before the board is removed.
