The Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 5G charging port is mounted on a small board at the bottom of the phone, linked to the main board by a flex cable. Daily plugging in, drops and liquid can wear or damage the USB-C socket, which leads to loose, slow or no charging.
Before replacing it, try another cable and charger and check the port for lint. If the phone still will not charge properly, a new charging port board is the usual fix.

How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the edges of the back cover and lift it off carefully with a thin pick.
- Remove the screws and the lower cover, then disconnect the battery.
- Unplug the flex connectors, remove the old board and fit the new one in the same position.
- Reconnect the battery and test charging, a computer connection and the microphone before closing.
- Refit the lower cover and screws, apply new adhesive and press the back cover on evenly.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Yes. Lint in the port can stop the cable seating fully. Check with a torch and remove debris gently with a wooden or plastic pick first. If it still does not charge, the board needs replacing.
