What this part is
Inside the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T, the power and volume buttons press on small switches mounted on a thin flex cable that runs along the side of the frame to the main board. A drop, liquid or heavy use can break a switch or tear the cable, so a button stops working even though the outer key looks fine.
Replacing the flex cable restores the switches behind the keys. If a key cap is missing or cracked on the outside, that is a separate part.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Redmi Note 8T. The model number (M1908C3XG) is shown under All specs. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.

Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Open the phone carefully with a thin pick and disconnect the battery.
- Disconnect the old button flex, release its adhesive and lift it out of the frame.
- Fit the new flex in the same position, with each switch lined up behind its key.
- Reconnect the battery and test power, volume up and volume down before closing.
- Close the phone and press the cover on evenly.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
