What this part is
The Alcatel Shine Lite charges through a micro-USB port mounted on a small board at the base of the phone. Over time the port loosens, collects dirt or gets bent, and charging becomes unreliable.
This is a complete board with the port fitted, so the repair is a board swap rather than soldering. A new board also restores the USB data connection if the old port was the cause.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model should read Shine Lite and the model number should start 5080.
The Shine Lite has a 5-inch screen and a micro-USB charging port.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the Alcatel Shine Lite off and remove the SIM tray.
- Remove the back cover with a plastic opening tool, then remove the screws holding the inner cover.
- Disconnect the battery connector before touching any other part.
- Unplug the flex from the old charging port board and remove its screws.
- Fit the new board, reconnect the flex and refit the screws.
- Refit the inner cover, screws and back cover.
- Reconnect the battery, power on and test charging with a known good micro-USB cable.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Alcatel Shine Lite?

Does it fit the Alcatel Idol 4?
No. This board is made for the Shine Lite only. Other Alcatel models use different charging parts.

The Shine Lite uses a micro-USB port, and this board has the same micro-USB port fitted.

We recommend professional installation. The Alcatel Shine Lite has to be opened carefully with plastic tools, and the battery must be disconnected before the new part is connected.
