The iPad mini 3 uses a non-laminated display construction where the front glass digitizer and the LCD beneath are separate components — meaning touch-only repairs are possible without replacing the LCD. Compatible with A1599 (WiFi) and A1600 (WiFi + Cellular).

Compatible Models

Compatible with iPad mini 3 model numbers: A1599 (WiFi) and A1600 (WiFi + Cellular). Check your model at Settings > General > About or on the rear of the device. The iPad mini 3 introduced Touch ID — if your model does not have Touch ID, it is likely an iPad mini 2 (Retina), which uses a different digitizer.

Technical Specification

Before You Buy

This is the front glass digitizer only and does not include the LCD. This part is suitable when the glass is cracked but the display still shows a clear image. If the LCD is also damaged (lines, discolouration, dark patches), you will need the LCD as well. The Touch ID Home button is not included — transfer your original Home button to retain fingerprint functionality.

Installation Notes

The front digitizer is held in place with adhesive along the edges. Use a heat mat to soften the adhesive before prying. Careful removal of the original Home button and transfer to the new glass is required to maintain Touch ID. Professional installation is recommended. We will not accept returns on installed parts.
