What this part is
The rear camera on the iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2017) sits behind a small glass lens cover in the back housing. If that glass cracks or is badly scratched, photos look hazy, flare in bright light or have marks across them, even though the camera itself is fine.
This part replaces the lens cover only. Choose grey or gold to match the ring around your camera. If the camera still shows a black screen or will not focus after fitting, the camera module is at fault.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The model name should read iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (2nd generation). Tap the model number to see the A-number (for example A1670).
The 2017 iPad Pro 12.9-inch has a home button and a single rear camera. The 2018 model and later have no home button.

How a technician fits this part
- Power the iPad off and cover the camera area with tape to hold any loose glass.
- Warm the lens area gently to soften the adhesive.
- Remove the broken lens cover and all glass fragments with a plastic tool, taking care not to scratch the camera.
- Clean the recess and the camera surface with a lint-free cloth.
- Fit the new lens cover with fresh adhesive and press it evenly into place.
- Take test photos to check for haze, dust or flare.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
