What this part is
The ASUS ZenPad 10 charges through a micro-USB socket. Over time the socket wears, the cable becomes loose, and the small pins inside can bend or break. The tablet may then charge only at an angle, or not at all.
This part is the connector on its own, not a flex or a board. The old socket must be desoldered and the new one soldered on. According to the supplier, the same connector is used in the ZenPad 10 Z300C, Z300CG and Z300CL, the ZenPad 8.0 Z380C (P022), the ME103K and the T100T. If the tablet still will not charge with a new port, check the battery and charging circuit.

Is this the right part?

How to check your model
Open Settings › About tablet (or Settings › About). The model should read Z300M (or one of the other models listed). It is also printed on the label on the back of the tablet.
The ZenPad 10 is a 10.1-inch tablet with a micro-USB port.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the tablet off and unclip the back cover with a plastic opening tool.
- Disconnect the battery before working on the board.
- Desolder the old micro-USB socket and clean the pads.
- Solder the new connector in place and inspect the pins for bridges.
- Reconnect the battery and test charging and USB data.
- Refit the back cover evenly.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
