What this part is
The SIM card tray on the Google Pixel 5 slides into the side of the frame and holds your nano-SIM card in place against the contacts. A tray that is lost, bent or cracked can stop the phone reading the SIM, or leave a gap that lets dust into the slot.
This is a plain replacement tray. It is fitted from the outside with a SIM eject pin, so the phone does not need to be opened. If the phone still shows no SIM with a new tray and a known good SIM card, the SIM reader inside the phone may be at fault.

Is this the right part?
Signs it needs replacing

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Pixel 5, not Pixel 4a 5G. The model code (GD1YQ or GTT9Q) is shown in Settings › About phone › Regulatory labels.
The Pixel 5 has a 6.0-inch screen. The Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5a look similar but are different phones.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off.
- Insert a SIM eject pin into the small hole next to the tray and press gently.
- Pull out the old tray, or check the slot is empty and clean.
- Place the nano-SIM card in the new tray, gold contacts facing down.
- Slide the tray fully into the slot until it sits flush.
- Power on and check the phone reads the SIM.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my Pixel 5?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Pixel 5. It fits models GD1YQ and GTT9Q. It does not fit the Pixel 4a 5G.
Does it fit the Pixel 4a 5G?
No. The Pixel 4a 5G is a different phone and needs its own SIM tray. This part is for the Pixel 5 only.
Does it hold two SIM cards?
No. It holds one nano-SIM card. The Pixel 5 also supports eSIM, which does not use the tray.
Is it made by Google?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality sim card tray made to fit the Google Pixel 5, and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
You can fit this yourself. It only needs a SIM eject pin and the phone does not need to be opened. If the phone still does not read the SIM, a repair shop can check the SIM reader.
