How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Honor 8 (it may show as Huawei Honor 8 on older software), not Honor 8S, Honor 8X or Honor 8 Pro. The full model code is shown on the same screen and on the label of the phone box.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off.
- Push a SIM eject tool into the small hole beside the tray and pull out the old tray.
- Place your SIM card and microSD card into the new tray, gold contacts facing down.
- Slide the tray in straight until it sits flush with the frame.
- Power the phone on and check the SIM is detected and has signal.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
