What this part is
On the Moto G6 the charging port is soldered to a small sub-board at the bottom of the phone, not to the main board. Worn contacts, bent pins or liquid damage in the port cause charging and data problems, and replacing the board is the clean fix.
Before you order, clean the port gently with a wooden or plastic pick and try a different cable and plug. If the phone still will not charge, this board is the usual repair. It connects to the main board with a flex cable, and on many models it also carries the main microphone.

Is this the right part?
Signs it needs replacing
- The phone will not charge, or charges only when the cable is held at an angle

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone and check the model name reads Moto G6, not Moto G6 Play or Moto G6 Plus. The model number is also shown there and on the box. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the back cover edges and lift it off carefully.
- Remove the screws and cover plate, then disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Disconnect the flex cable and remove the old charging board from the Moto G6.
- Fit the new board, reconnect the flex and battery, and test charging before closing.
- Refit the covers and screws, apply new back cover adhesive and press it down evenly.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Moto G6?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Moto G6. It does not fit the Moto G6 Play, Moto G6 Plus or any other model.
Does it fit the Moto G6 Play?
No. The Moto G6 Play is a different phone and its parts are not the same. Check the model name in Settings › About phone before you order.
Does the microphone come on this board?
On many Motorola phones the main microphone sits on the charging board, and this board is supplied as one assembly. Check the photos against your old board, and test calls after fitting.
Is it made by Motorola?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality charging port board made to fit the Motorola Moto G6, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The back cover needs heat and new adhesive, and the battery must be disconnected safely before the board is changed.
