What this part is
On the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro, the screen does not plug straight into the main board. A separate flex cable carries the display signal between them. If this cable is torn, pinched or corroded, the screen can go black, flicker or show lines even though the panel is undamaged.
Check this part is the cause before ordering. If the glass is cracked or the display has dark patches, the screen assembly is the more likely fault. A technician can test by connecting a known-good screen. Compare the connectors on your old cable with the photos before fitting.

Open Settings › About phone and check the model name reads Realme 8 or Realme 8 Pro, not Realme 8 5G or Realme 8i. The Realme 8 4G model number is RMX3085. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.

Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Open the back cover carefully with a plastic pick and remove the inner cover screws.
- Disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Unplug and remove the old display flex from the screen and main board connectors.
- Fit the new flex, reconnect the screen and battery, and test the display before closing.
- Refit the inner cover and screws, then refit the back cover and press it down evenly.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
