The antenna signal cable in the Galaxy A50 is a thin coaxial cable that runs along the side of the phone. It links the main board to the antenna connections on the lower board. If it is pinched, torn or unplugged, for example after a screen or charging port repair, signal can become weak or drop out.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Galaxy A50 and the model number should start SM-A505F. It must not be the Galaxy A50s or Galaxy A51.

How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the back cover edges and lift it off carefully with a thin pick.
- Remove the screws and plastic cover plate, then disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Unclip the old antenna cable at both ends and lift it out of its routing channel.
- Clip the new cable onto both connectors and press it into the same channel.
- Reconnect the battery and check signal, calls and mobile data before closing.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
