What this part is
The Galaxy S20+ front camera sits in a small hole at the top of the screen and plugs into the main board with its own connector. A drop, water or a failed module can leave the selfie camera black, blurry or unable to open.
Before replacing it, restart the phone and check for updates, because a software fault can also stop the camera. If the rear cameras work but the front one stays black or out of focus, a new front camera module is the usual fix. If the glass over the camera hole is cracked, the screen may need replacing instead.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The name should read Galaxy S20+ and the model number should be SM-G985F and SM-G986B (UK models start SM-). Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the back glass edges and lift it off carefully with a thin pick.
- Remove the screws and the inner cover over the main board, then disconnect the battery.
- Unplug the old front camera connector, lift the module out and seat the new one in the same position.
- Reconnect the battery and test the selfie camera, video calls and face recognition before closing.
- Refit the inner cover and screws, apply new back adhesive and press the back glass on evenly.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my S20+?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Samsung Galaxy S20+ (SM-G985F and SM-G986B). It does not fit the Galaxy S20 Ultra or S21+.
Does it fit the Galaxy S20?
The supplier lists this module for the Galaxy S20+ and the US version of the Galaxy S20. We have not confirmed it for UK and European S20 models, so compare your old part with the photos first.
Will face recognition work after fitting?
The S20+ uses the front camera for face recognition. After fitting, check the selfie camera and set face recognition up again in Settings if needed.
Is it made by Samsung?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality part made to fit the Samsung Galaxy S20+, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The back glass has to be heated and lifted, the battery must be disconnected first, and small flex cables are easy to damage.
