Soft OLED vs Hard OLED vs Incell LCD

iPhone X, 11 Pro Max, and 12 Pro Max all use flexible OLED panels from the factory. When replacing these screens, repair technicians have three main options:

• Soft OLED — flexible substrate, closest match to the OEM display quality. Accurate colour reproduction, genuine blacks, natural viewing angles. The recommended choice for quality-first repairs.
• Hard OLED — rigid OLED construction, generally more affordable but less faithful to the original display characteristics and more susceptible to cracking under flex.

Compatibility and Model Selection

Select your iPhone model from the variant dropdown before adding to cart. The iPhone X, 11 Pro Max, and 12 Pro Max use different screen sizes and connectors — they are not interchangeable. Check your model in Settings > General > About if you are unsure.

Note: aftermarket OLED panels do not support True Tone or 3D Touch/Haptic Touch calibration via Apple proprietary protocols. Standard touch and Face ID function normally.

Installation Notes

OLED iPhone screen replacement is a moderately advanced repair. The display assembly is secured with adhesive and requires careful use of a heat mat or heat gun to loosen the bond before opening. The OLED flex cables are fragile — over-bending the cable beyond 90° will cause permanent display failure. Professional installation is strongly recommended. We will not accept returns on parts that have been installed.

Always test the display before full installation: connect the screen to the logic board with the protective film in place, power on, and confirm display and touch function before proceeding with fitting.
