What this part is
The SIM tray on the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite slides into the side of the phone and holds a nano-SIM and a microSD card. Trays are easy to lose, and a bent tray can jam or stop the phone reading the SIM.
This is a simple swap. Push a SIM eject pin into the small hole beside the tray, pull out the old tray, place your cards in the new one and slide it back in. Check the photos for the colour.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Mi 8 Lite. The model number (for example M1808D2TG) is shown under All specs and on the phone's box. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has a 6.26-inch LCD screen, two vertical rear cameras and a rear fingerprint sensor. The standard Mi 8 has an AMOLED screen and different internal parts.

How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off.
- Push a SIM eject pin into the small hole beside the tray and pull the old tray out.
- Place your SIM card and microSD card in the new tray, gold contacts facing down.
- Slide the tray straight in until it sits flush with the frame.
- Power the phone on and check that the SIM is detected.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
