The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 SIM tray holds your SIM cards and a microSD card and slides into the side of the phone. Trays get lost, bent or cracked, especially when a SIM is changed often, and a bent tray can stop the phone reading the SIM.
Fitting a new tray needs no tools beyond a SIM eject pin and no opening of the phone. If the phone still shows No SIM with a new tray and a working SIM card, the SIM reader inside the phone may need repair.

- Power the phone off.
- Push a SIM eject pin into the small hole beside the tray to release any old or broken tray.
- Place your SIM cards and a microSD card in the new tray with the cut corner matching the tray shape.
- Slide the tray in flat and push it in until it sits flush with the frame.
- Power on and check that the SIM is detected and you have signal.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
